Bedroom Decoration Ideas For Creating A Stylish Bedroom
Getting great bedroom decorating ideas for a bedroom remake can be challenging but there are a large number of different themes around that you can choose from and the decision you make will be based largely on your own personal taste and what budget you have available.
However other than for the two criteria stated above when decorating a bedroom you also need to think about the amount of space you have available as this will help you decide on the type and amount of furniture plus other items that you will be able to include without making the rooms space feel too cramped. It is important to remember when decorating a bedroom it should be a calm and inviting space.
So the best thing you could do first before starting to decorate your bedroom is to measure the space and then design the theme or style that suits the space and that you like the best. The more popular decorating ideas that people regularly seem to use are as follows:
1. Modern
2. Mediterranean
3. Cottage
4. Southwestern
5. Victorian
6. Shabby Chic
7. Paris Chic
Once you have chosen the style then it is important that you look at decorating ideas which will help you to achieve the final result. Say you were thinking of decorating your bedroom in a Victorian style then these are some of the bedroom decoration ideas you should be considering.
Remember the Victorian style has quite a feminine feel to it and this kind of decoration will often primarily be enjoyed by women, and therefore if you are looking to decorate the master bedroom in this style it is important that you make sure that your partner or spouse also likes this particular style.
The Victorian style is also quite showy and dramatic and the bed most typically suited this style is usually a heavy four poster made from wood or cast iron, it may well have a canopy, curtains, throw Pillows and blankets along with a bedspread that has been embellished with patterns, fringes, bows and ribbons.
You also may find that you have to include for a great deal of accessorizing in order to achieve the ultimate Victorian look to your room and this will include such items as large and overstated rugs, flowering plants as well as large gold/gilt frames which surround paintings and pictures of flowers, birds, children or young women (maidens).
You would follow a similar train of thought for any other style. If you wanted a modern bedroom, you would choose simple primary colors or black, tan and white. The furniture and accessories would have clean lines which are part of the modern look – nothing frilly or girly.
A southwestern look would have colors of the southwest and use accents that are Mexican or Native American in feel. Perhaps some southwestern pottery or a Native American rug?
One good place to get bedroom decorating ideas from is magazines. Flip open any decorating magazine and find a photo of a bedroom you like. Look closely at the bedding and accessories then try to model your bedroom after the photo.

who makes the best pillows?
I think my pillow is causing me neck pains.
Tontine have various types worth looking at and are reasonably priced
Can I get your suggestion for the best pillow making book for a beginning sewing guy?
I’m not married and know no girls that know how to sew and or are willing to teach and I want to learn a life skill, I live in the middle of nowhere, no sewing shops or I want to self teach myself how to make decorative handcrafted Pillows for my beautiful house. I generally can learn something from a good book, etc. Help me obi-wan!
Sounds like you could use the 2001 edition of "Simplicity’s Simply The Best Sewing Book", which was written for beginners and focuses on home dec projects (earlier editions do not have that focus):
http://www.amazon.com/Simplicity-Simply-Best-Sewing-Book/dp/073942100X
Though I’ve been sewing too many years to properly judge this book, I’ve heard from beginners that it’s quite helpful. I "know" the author from a couple of internet sewing groups, and she definitely knows her stuff and how to communicate.
You might also see if there’s an ASG neighborhood group near you: http://www.asg.org/html/chapters.html — a chapter is a regional or state group with a number of neighborhood groups — sometimes it’s really helpful to have someone take your pillow with the puckered corner, turn it inside out, and say, ah, here’s the issue… you needed to clip this a little more deeply here. <g>
Community education classes, community college classes and classes run through fabric stores are other possibilities.
When you get a little experience under your belt, you can go on
to books like: ‘Sewing Edges and Corners’ (http://www.amazon.com/Sewing-Edges-Corners-Decorative-Embellishment/dp/1561584185) or Conlon’s Fine Embellishment Techniques (http://www.amazon.com/Fine-Embellishment-Techniques-Classic-Clothing/dp/1561584967 or) Wolff’s Art of Manipulating Fabric (
http://www.amazon.com/Art-Manipulating-Fabric-Colette-Wolff/dp/0801984963) or… or… or…
PS: very handy thing for beginners putting in zippers:
Collins Wash-A-Way Wonder Tape. Easy to sew through, doesn’t hurt fabric and much, much easier than pins.

Enjoy Sleeping in Peace
Everybody wants to enjoy his or her night in peace after a hard day at the office. While you are in the office you hardly get any time to relax between your 9 to 5 schedule. During the course of the day you also have to do lots of work that entails running around to different places or just slogging out at the keyboard. All such things make the body tired and at the end of the day it wants relaxation. A bed Hawaii is the best option to relieve your body from the tiredness it has accumulated throughout the day. Have you ever asked yourself what are you working for?
You earn money by working and a part of this money is spent on certain necessary items. If you have kids, you need money for their education and upbringing too. Most people earn a decent sum of money that helps them to meet their day-to-day expenses and at the end of the month to make necessary savings too. But whet is the use of earning all this money when you cannot even sleep, in peace at the end of the day. A comfortable Hawaii bed ensures that you sleep in peace at the end of a hard day’s work. These beds are made specially keeping you in mind and they allow you to relax and have a soothing sleep during the course of the night.
Many people swear that such beds allow them to have a sound night’s sleep without resorting to sleeping pills they were previously habituated to. There are many different types of such beds and they come in different sizes. You can go in for a single bed or a double sized one if you are married. Remember, the only time that you get to relax is during the night, so you should ensure that you use only the best bed to sleep in. While you are purchasing such a bed, why not check out the Hawaii pillow that is the perfect compliment to such beds.
They are so soft that you will doze off as soon as you hit the bed. There are certain things in life that should not be compromised on and beds and Pillows are a few of them. They do not cost the earth and most such beds cost a bit more than the ordinary ones. No big deal if you are getting a smooth night’s sleep in the bargain. These beds are available in many different designs and you should take some time off time and discuss with your wife. Select one bed that suits you both. The bedroom is the coziest room in one’s house and nobody should make any compromises while going in for the furniture they use in their bedroom, least of all, the bed. After you have spent a few days sleeping on such beds, you will ask yourself how did you manage to sleep so long without it.
