Do the memory foam/gel combo (Pillows) really work to help your neck or are they just another one of those claiming to help?

I think the key word is "help". Pillows and mattresses do not fix neck or back problems doctors do, sometimes. That percentage may be 5% help, 50% help, or maybe it is exactly what you need. Each and every pillow is as different as the person sleeping on it. The best piece of advise I can give you is to try it.

I’m not really sure because the one I purchased smelled so badly that I had to send it back without using it :(

If you want to try one, maybe buy it at Target or Walmart so you can return it easily if you need to.

The Tempurpedic neck pillow is the best. The cheap ones are TOO hard and need to be "broken in" first.
