PostHeaderIcon What kind of Mattress would you recommend?

Ok I bought a pillow top mattress and hated it so I got a select comfort spend a ton of money for junk Please any suggestions what about temper pedic

Haven’t heard much good about temper pedic. I know one guy that loves his, but everything else I’ve heard is that they feel very "hot" all the time. Google it.

I wanted a bed like that, though, that would be impervious to dust mites (for my allergies). If you really want one, look at the alternatives. I looked at some that were made of 100% natural latex (I think), and that had air pockets in them to solve the heat problem. Probably should have bought that one, too.

Instead I got a mid-grade Simmons. It’s very comfortable–the most comfortable I’ve ever had–but less than a year later it is starting to bulge at one side. Their customer service is crap. Also, be careful because they let some of their dealers sell factory-seconds at discount prices without telling the customer that they’re seconds. Some of the sewing on the pillow top on mine is off, and they won’t do anything about it. They and the dealer just claimed it was cosmetic and didn’t matter. Since I thought I got a good price, I let that go. Now, with the bulging problem….this is my first and last Simmons. Turned out my price was probably average at best, too.

I had a Sealy that was comfortable and lasted a long time.

My back hurts almost all the time. I'm only 16!?

I have just a plain old foam mattress, JCPenny’s sells them. They aren’t too expensive and are pretty comfortable, and last years. My parents have a latex foam bed. They love it and prefer it to the temper pedic. It feels like a water bed but with a little more support, it is very nice.

I have the 5" thick of this one
